Wilma Davis Bean, 90, of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Breeding, KY on March 31, 1934, to the late Holland and Annie Rowe Bean. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Betty McKinney Bean.
Mr. Bean was a member of the Old Concord Community Church, a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include four children David Bean (Leanna) of Joliet, IL, Teresa Wilson (Tim) of Hobart, IN, Randolph Lewis (Ruth Ann) of Columbia, KY and Vonda Cowan of Columbia, KY; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; a special caregiver Dianna Reese; a brother-in-law J. D. McKinney of Columbia, KY; two sisters-in-law Pat Phipps (Codell) and Phyllis Burris both of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers Carl and Marshall Bean, a brother-in-law Alfred McKinney, and a sister-in-law Ruby England.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Fudge Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Saturday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Pat Smith will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Christopher Frank, Michael VanKley, Richard Memenga, Phillip Prokopec, and Jeff Herron.
