Thelma Jean Sinclair, 84, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, May 14, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

She was born February 9, 1934, in Russell County, to the late Clarence and Gusta Sullivan Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Sinclair, Jr., on November 14, 2014. She was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church and retired from the Adair County School System, working last in the lunchroom at John Adair School.

Survivors include:

One son – Steve and his wife Naomi Sinclair of Bowling Green

One daughter – Sandy Sinclair-Curry of Columbia

Three granddaughters – Lauren and her husband Will Brown, Sarah Sinclair and Shelby Curry

Two brothers – Lloyd Smith and Gordon Smith both of Indiana

Three sisters – Wanda Curtis of Columbia, Nelda Melson of Russell County, Patty Wells of Taylor County

Special caregivers – Pat Reliford, Becky Conover Simpson and Patty Wells

Special Friend – Gina Green

Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Grider and Bro. Darren Blair officiating

Burial in Freedom Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Friday

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
