Thelma Nora Roy, 88, Columbia, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Austin and Frieda Brickler Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Roy in 1993; a son, Danny Ray Roy in 1958; and a grandson, Davie Roy in 2003.
She is survived by one son, David Roy and wife Anita of Russell Springs; two daughters, Diane Foster and husband Howard of Columbia and Kathy Pickens and husband Rick of Columbia; two brothers, James Wilson of Richwood and Vernon Wilson of Covington; and four grandchildren, Lesley Keith, Christy Burton, Seth Murray and Bethany Davis. Six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was a member of the West 80 Church of God in Russell Springs and was a homemaker.
Funeral service was Thursday, Dec. 22 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Carli Riggs and Bro. Scott Proctor with interment in Freedom Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Bryant, Chris Bryant, Edwin Bryant, Steve Roy and Seth Murray.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
