Troy Strange, 47, of Columbia, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017 at his home after a long illness.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1969 in Hardin County and was the son of Bobby and Dorothy Herron Strange of Columbia, who survives.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tonia Strange of Columbia; two sons, Trey Strange and Tanner Strange of Columbia; one daughter, Taylor Strange of Columbia; two brothers, Mark Bright and his wife Norma of Columbia and Brian Strange and his wife Tamera of Columbia; special father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby Dale and Marilyn Sneed of Columbia; a special cousin Eric Feese, and many other special cousins; and by a brother-in-law, Mike Sneed and his wife Karen of Columbia.

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Troy was the owner of A-1 Auto Parts. He evangelized for several years and was the co-pastor at Through the Fire Worship Center in Columbia. Troy was an avid outdoorsman where he loved to hunt and fish. He was a man of God and loved his family.

Funeral service was Monday, April 24 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Tucker and Bro. Troy Long officiating with interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Gideon Bibles.

Pallbearers were James Murphy, Brian Cowan, Eric Feese, Danny Wooten, Mark Burton, Mike Rowe and Ricky Dial.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
