KBC celebrates blood donors, KY State Fair
Lexington, KY – It’s time for the annual Kentucky State Fair – corn dogs, concerts and amusement rides.
Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) will be hosting a blood drive each day during the Fair. To celebrate State Fair Days, anyone who registers to give blood at the following blood drive will receive a limited edition State Fair T-shirt. Everyone will also be automatically entered to win a Toyota Highlander.

at the Annex Building on the KBC Bloodmobile
at 424 Public Square.
|First and Farmers Bank of Columbia
Thurs., Aug. 24 from 1:30 – 4 pm
on the KBC Bloodmobile
at 805 Russell Road.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can be made by visiting kybloodcenter.org and clicking on the Donor Login button at the bottom of the page or by calling 800.775-2522, ext. 3758.
Blood donors must be 17-years-old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Donors must also show a photo I.D. with first and last name, like a state-issued driver’s license. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
