On Tuesday, March 3 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Columbia Church of Christ in the Fellowship Hall at 501 Jamestown St. in Columbia there will be a community blood drive. Donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 with parental consent; weight 110 pounds; be in general good health; show photo I.D; and meet additional requirements. Those who are 16 must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org Also, for the donors whose blood runs blue, Kentucky Blood Center is offering a special “My blood type is Wildcat blue” t-shirt.
