The Lady Indians volleyball team was able to win one game last week and lose one on the road to bring their season record to 7-13.
On Tuesday of last week they traveled to Marion County to take on the Knights who are highly ranked in the 5th region with a 23-10 record on the year. The Knights beat the Lady Indians in straight sets to give Adair County their third straight loss. Marion County beat them in a close one in the first set 25-22 before dominating the following two sets 25-14 and 25-19.
Last Thursday they were on the road again to take on the Lady Panthers in Cumberland County. The Lady Indians were able to sweep the match by winning two sets in a row. Both sets were very close but Adair County was able to win them by a score of 25-22 and 27-25, respectively.
Adair County was on the road again Monday as they traveled to Campbellsville to take on the Lady Eagles in a regional game before returning back home on Tuesday to take on Somerset to finish their regular season schedule. Tuesday was senior night for the volleyball team so be watching in next week’s issue for highlights and scores for this week’s action. The Lady Indians will look to notch two more wins to their record for the year.
