William Samuel “Will Sam” Taylor, 96, of Russell Springs, formerly of the Pellyton community of Adair County, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at Russell County Hospital after an illness.
He was the son of the late James and Ramey (Taylor) Taylor of Adair County.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Taylor, Frank Taylor and Joe Taylor; and by six sisters, Martha Jones, Betty Thomas, Mattie Mings, Minnie Brooks, Ada Baldwin and Bonnie Pauley.
He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a retired farmer.
Funeral service was Monday, Oct. 17 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. David Coffey and Bro. Charles Edwards officiating with burial in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Casey County with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.
Pallbearers were David Asberry, Ronald Asberry, O.C. Roark, Brently Taylor, Jacob Taylor and Kevin Taylor.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
