The Columbia City Council broke ground on a new splash pad Wednesday morning at the city park on Fairgrounds St. Those attending the ceremony were (from left) Bluegrass Recreation Sales and Installation representative Johnny Cain, council members Sharon Payne, Ronald “Doc” Rogers, and Robert Flowers; mayor Pam Hoots, council members Linda Waggener, and Craig Dean; and parks and recreation department staff Terry Johnson and Craig Lasley.
