On Senior night at the Adair County Football game last Friday, not only were the seniors recognized but they were able to recognize a teacher that they were thankful for.

The students presented these teachers with plaque that were engraved with what each student had written about them.

The following teachers were recognized.

  • Shanna Darnell by Alezander LeBeau – “Through the three years I have been at ACHS, Mrs. Darnell has been patient, kind and helpful as I presented and continue to present, what seems like never ending problems and complications and worked to achieve my goal career and constantly change my schedule around to get as many credits as possible” said LeBeau
  • Shanna Ragle by Arthur Harper – “Thanks for being such an awesome teacher. You make class feel easy and comfortable to be in. It’s clear you care about us as people and not just students” said Harper
  • Chase Coffey by Brayden Stargel – “He was one of my favorite teacher’s sophomore year. I enjoyed talking about football with you and enjoyed your class. You made my love for math grow and always encouraged me to do my best. Thank you for everything!” said Stargel
  • JR Thompson by Camden Streeval – “Mr. T has changed the way I look at life. His class changed mentally and physically in ways I never thought were possible. Over the years, he’s easily became a role model, leader, mentor and someone whom I aspire to be as I slowly become more of a man,” said Streeval
  • Fred Warren by Dawson Gilbert – “Thankful for trying to teach me college algebra even if I wasn’t paying attention and for all the fantasy football talks and debates,” said Gilbert.
  • Robyne Mantooth by Mahlon Coblentz – “For putting my education first and teaching me lessons about not only school but life. For preparing me for more than a test,” said Coblentz.
  • Jennifer Martin by Ryder Rodgers – “Thank you for always taking jokes well and for being the G.O.A.T. at history,” said Rodgers.
  • Kaleigh Foster by Ryker Musselman – “If you ever need a teacher to talk to or ask for food, Ms. Foster is perfect for that even when you don’t take her class,” said Musselman.
  • Lydia Tiller by Seamus Cook – “ You were the best science teacher I’ve had,” said Cook
  • Tyler Maskill by Tristen Stotts – “He’s been a great help with everything I need and always enjoy having conversations with him,” said Stotts.
