Adair County then faced Green County in the championship game.
The Lady Indians battled through a physical contest, with Nellie Grant leading the scoring with 16 points. Strong defensive play from Emalyn White and Caylyn White helped Adair County secure the championship.
Coach Jerald Bryant guided the sixth-grade team to the CKMSAC title.

Seventh grade retains championship title

The seventh-grade Lady Indians entered the CKMSAC tournament with a bye to the championship game based on their performance in previous conference games.
Adair County faced Green County for the title in a closely contested game. The Lady Indians held a 17-16 lead at halftime.
Coach Tashua Moore challenged the team to dig deeper in the fourth quarter.
“We had to dig deep,” Moore said. “We had good defense.”
Grant helped spark the offense in the fourth quarter, while Emalyn White provided a key moment when she came off the bench and knocked down a 3-pointer.
Adair County then found more opportunities for Roxie Booth, who finished with 14 points. Grant also scored 14 as the Lady Indians pulled away late.
Green County continued to battle until the final buzzer, but Adair County’s teamwork helped secure the championship.
The victory marked the second consecutive year the seventh-grade Lady Indians have won the CKMSAC championship.
