Allene Hardwick, 95, of Columbia, died Friday, May 29, 2026 at Summit Manor Nursing Home.
She was born August 27, 1930, in Adair County, to the late William “Bill” and Mabel Loy Rowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Hardwick and the following siblings: Lilliam Grimmer, Jo Marie Rowe, Glenn “Dude” Rowe, Robert “Shaw” Rowe, Elroy “Buck” Rowe, Elva Rowe and Floyd Rowe.
She attended Old Concord Church, formerly worked at Union Underwear and she and her husband owned and operated several restaurants in Columbia years ago. She taught Sunday School at Trinity United Methodist Church for 50 years.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Jane Hardwick of Columbia; two grandchildren, Tim Hardwick (Jennifer) and Ashley Hardwick of Columbia; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Hardwick, Madeline Hardwick and Griffin Hardwick; one sister, Christine Hickerson of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Leon Rowe of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. William Davenport and Rev. Pat Smith officiating.
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Casket bearers are Tim Hardwick, Griffin Hardwick, Terry Moore, Ray Fluhr, Todd Davenport, Tony Joe Compton, John Tupman and Jon Loy.
