Members of the Beta club from Adair County Middle School recently attended the Kentucky Junior Beta State Convention. There were 31 students representing Adair in a variety of categories.
Students prepare throughout the school year for the annual convention and opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge in the competitions.
Two students earned top placements and will advance to the National Junior Beta Convention in Nashville this June.
Cash Hare, a sixth-grade student, received first place in Social Studies. Maddie Wethington, an eighth-grade student, finished fifth in Language Arts.
Adair County Middle School’s Junior Beta members demonstrate dedication throughout the year preparing for the competition. They are proud to represent ACMS at the state level.
Sponsor Angel Woodrome and co-sponsor Jeremy Costello, expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments and efforts during the competition.
“We had 31 students attend the Beta state conference. After working hard all year, two of them will move on to represent our school at nationals in Nashville,” said Woodrome. “We are so proud of everything they’ve accomplished.”
The National Beta Club encourages students to develop leadership, service, character and academic excellence.
