Bobby Popplewell, 95, of Russell Springs, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Jean Waddle Hospice Center in Somerset.
He was born on Saturday, August 1, 1931 in Greensburg.
He was the son of the late Jennie Vee Milby Popplewell and the late Theodore Roosevelt Popplewell.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna McMahel, spouse Kenneth, of Jamestown, and Betty Hare, spouse David, of Russell Springs; two sons, Robert Popplewell, spouse Nadine, of Columbia, and Terry Popplewell, spouse Marsha, of Columbia; three brothers, Spencer Popplewell, spouse Della, of Russell Springs, Earl Dean Popplewell, of California, and Jerry Popplewell, spouse Sandy, of Illinois; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
He was retired from Caterpillar and a member at Clear Fork Baptist Church. He loved karaoke and bingo. He was an avid Donald Trump fan and loved his Trump cap. He loved his family and friends and his dog, Runner, his constant companion.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Popplewell; son, Ted Popplewell; brothers, Okie Popplewell, Orvan Popplewell, Carson Popplewell, and Thomas Popplewell; and sisters, Mimi Popplewell and Ann Daniels.
