Carl Neal Richardson, 76, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his home in Russell Springs. He was born June 6, 1949, in Russell County to Ralph and Catherine Loy Richardson.
He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed coon hunting, and watching UK games and westerns on T.V. Carl was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his church and his church family.
Survivors include one son, Shane (Laramie) Richardson of Russell Springs; one grandson, Clay Richardson of Russell Springs; three brothers, Marion Richardson and Bro. Glen (Willodean) Richardson of Russell Springs, and Danny (Mary) Richardson of Lexington; three sisters, Rebecca (Doug) Darnell of Russell Springs, Dale (Ray) Stilts of Columbia, and Kathy Holt of Dunnville; brother-in-law, Lloyd Alley of Columbia; one stepson, Mike Warriner; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Abston and Sherry Roberts; special friends, Carolyn Garner and Tobi Grider and her children, Brylee, Carlie, Traygen, and Linnley; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd Richardson; and a sister, Marlene Alley.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Bro. Glen Richardson and Bro. Preston Richardson officiated. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Special music provided by nieces and nephews.
Family members served as pallbearers.
