An injury collision at the intersection of Greensburg Street and Veteran’s Memorial Bypass occurred Monday around 2:15 p.m.
Sharon Morrison of Columbia was traveling south on the bypass when a pickup truck operated by Tanner Strange of Columbia pulled into her path causing a collision, according to police. Morrison was transported to TJ Health Columbia where she was treated and released.
Columbia Police Department Sergeant Trevor Foster is investigating the collision. He was assisted by Adair County E911, Adair County EMS, and Columbia-Adair County Fire Department.
A second two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, sending two people to the hospital. Police say a Chevrolet tracker being operated by Allan Corbin of Columbia pulled out of West Frazier Avenue onto Greensburg Street into the path of a pickup being operated by JR Thompson of Columbia.
Columbia-Adair County Fire Department extricated Corbin from the vehicle. He was transported to TJ Health Columbia and later flown to University of Kentucky hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A juvenile in the Corbin vehicle was treated and released at TJ Health Columbia with minor injuries.
Thompson was also treated and released at TJ Health Columbia.
The collision was investigated by Columbia Police Department Officer Travis Bell and Sergeant Trevor Foster.
They were assisted by Adair County E911, Adair County EMS, and Columbia Adair County Fire Department.
