Adair County deputies responded Tuesday to New Concord Rd. on a complaint of a female refusing to leave the residence.
Deputies made contact with Brittany Neal, 32, of Columbia. Police say Neal began cursing and screaming at deputies and attempted to punch them. She was placed under arrest and taken to the Adair County Jail.
Upon entering the jail, during a search jail deputies were able to locate suspected methamphetamine, that Neal had concealed on her person.
Neal was charged with public intoxication; criminal trespassing; menacing; resisting arrest; possession of controlled substance,1st degree, second offense, methamphetamine; and promoting contraband, 1st degree.
Arrest was made by Deputy Emily Wall, who was assisted by Deputy Derek Padgett.
