Five Adair County High School cheerleaders have signed their national letter of intent with Lindsey Wilson College.
On April 23, Seth Murphy, Allie Murphy, Marque Hicks, Donzale Ennis, and Zowi Martin all gathered with their friends and family for the formal signing.
Athletic Director Tyler Maskill posted on social media that “these five athletes have set the standard for cheerleading at Adair County and we know you will continue to raise the bar at the next level!”
Lindsey Wilson Coach Damon Hicks said this upcoming season holds a special place in his heart as the Head Cheer and Dance Coach at Lindsey Wilson.
“We’re welcoming five incredibly talented athletes from Adair County to the Blue Raider Cheer Team. These individuals bring not only impressive skills and strong work ethics, but also years of dedication and passion for cheerleading,” he said.
He continued: “What makes this even more meaningful for me is that one of these athletes is my amazing daughter. She’s been stunting and tumbling since she was just seven months old, and now I have the unique honor of coaching her at the collegiate level. These athletes have been cheering for most of their lives and I’m thrilled to see the knowledge, energy, and experience they will contribute to our program. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead for the Blue Raider Cheer Team!”
Adair County High School Head Cheer Coach Julie McQueary said, “We are very excited to have half of our seniors signing to go on to the next level of cheer. We are even more excited that they are staying at Lindsey Wilson and we will be able to support them. We are so proud of all five and we know they have a great future ahead of them.”
