The Adair County Clerk's Office will report Friday at regular hours.

The Clerk’s Office will be open tomorrow.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue cleanup efforts.  Please be advised that the office is extremely loud due to the dehumidifiers currently in use.

Original Article:

A flood in the Adair County annex has caused substantial damage to County Clerk Lisa Greer’s office but Greer is assuring voters that voting is going on as scheduled and will continue to do so.

The flood came from a bathroom on the third floor and has caused the clerk’s office to close. Early voting is taking place in the basement and is not affected.

Some materials that will be needed for Tuesday’s primary election day have been damaged but Greer said they have been replaced and everything will be up and running.

The office may reopen tomorrow but Greer will put out a public notice confirming the schedule.

Early voting is taking place today, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday and polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 6 pm. Voters must provide a valid ID to vote.
