Girls’ volleyball participates in Bluegrass State Games

Adair County High School girls’ volleyball participated in the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington last weekend with three days of games.
These matches consisted of best 2 out of 3 and played to 21. On Friday, the girls played two matches and went 1-1. They beat Western Hills and fell to Ryle.
On the second day of play, they beat Logan County and Todd County before falling to Great Crossing.
Sunday, the team participated in a single elimination tournament winning two games. They beat Warren East and Owensboro Catholic and were eliminated by Dupont Manual.
The team will be back in action on Aug. 9 in Bowling Green where they will play in the Mid-South Scrimmage.
The official season will begin on Aug. 18 at LaRue County with the freshmen, JV, and varsity teams all playing.
The first home match for the team will be Aug. 21 against Bardstown with JV and varsity both playing.
The girls’ volleyball team is led by Head Coach Michelle Neat.
Assistant coaches are Rachel Houchens, Brett Blair, and Mariah Bright.
