Harry G. Foley, 77, of Columbia passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Somerset on January 14, 1948, a son of the late Orpha (McGowan) and Velmer Foley.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired electrical engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Stapp) Foley of Columbia; one daughter, Jill Foley of Indianapolis, Ind.; one son, Stuart Foley (Rebecca) of Guntersville, Ala; two brothers, Ralph Foley of Nashville, Tenn. and Gibson Foley (Patsy) of Jamestown; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Cook; and a brother, Alben Foley.
The family chose cremation and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown is in charge of the arrangements.
