This year, the annual Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Adair County Extension Office on Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, a change from the earlier start times of previous years.
A change in time, however, will not be changing the Bazaar itself. There will still be breakfast items served before a transition to lunch foods like pulled pork as the day progresses. Coffee, hot chocolate, and other warm drinks will be available. Santa Claus is also scheduled to make an appearance during the event for pictures.
“Me and (Santa) are very close. I talk to him every day, and I have it on good authority he will be there… he doesn’t know what time he will come,” said Dylan Gentry family and consumer science agent at Adair County Extension. He adds that he wears a similar size hat to Mr. Claus.
And, of course, the main attraction for the Bazaar will be the vendors, who will sell a range of products from jams and cookies to handmade, locally produced holiday decorations, crafts, and more. This year, there are 30 vendors in attendance.
