Homemakers’ Holiday Bazaar to be held Saturday

Posted

Crafts and other items created by members of Adair County Homemakers clubs will be on display and for sale during the annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday.
The event will be held at the Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairgrounds St. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This is really a wonderful expo of all of the talent that we have here local,” said Dylan Gentry, Adair County Extension Agent and event coordinator.
Vendors must be local, and all products must be locally sourced. Many participants are local artisans who do not have a brick-and-mortar store, making the bazaar an opportunity to showcase their work to the public.
A total of 24 vendors are registered for Saturday’s event. Items available will include quilts, crocheted items, baked goods, wood carvings, handmade jewelry, and more. Several vendors also come from the local farmers’ market.
Six homemakers’ clubs in Adair County will be in attendance. Proceeds from the event support local scholarships and educational programs.
Everyone who attends will be entered to win gift certificates to use at the bazaar throughout the day. The Town and Country Club will be offering a variety of coffee and lattes along with breakfast sandwiches. Their lunch menu includes pulled pork or chicken, nachos, and alpha gal/celiac friendly chili and chicken soup.
The bazaar is perfect place to grab some food and start your holiday shopping.
