James W. Sharp, 91, of Russell Springs passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Jamestown on August 13, 1933, a son of the late Nina (McFarland) and Walter Sharp.
James was a member of Jamestown Christian Church, served in the U.S. Army, was a retired social worker and an avid U.K. fan.
Survivors include three sons: Bill Sharp (Debbie) of Russell Springs, David Sharp (Eddy) of Columbia, and Philip Sharp (Cindy) of Athens; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and another one on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye (Branscum) Sharp and two brothers, William Dudley and Philip Hugh Sharp.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11am at Jamestown Christian Church in Jamestown with Bro. Jason Walters officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 5pm-8pmand Friday after 8 at Jamestown Christian Church with burial in Jamestown Cemetery.
