Janice “Susie” Richard, 59 of Columbia passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at her residence after a brief illness while surrounded by her family. Born in Glasgow, she was the daughter of Wayne and the late Elsie Louise Dickson Wilson. She was an employee for 29 yrs. at Carhart Industries in Edmonton. She loved spending time at Nolin Lake, taking rides on their side-by-side on the weekends and loved taking care of her family, especially keeping her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband Doug of 20yrs; three daughters Jessica Russell (Chris) of Glasgow, Sierra Fields (Petey) of Edmonton, and Mekensie Kelley (Brandon) of Columbia; her father Wayne Wilson And step-mother Janice of Edmonton; grandchildren, Ava, Clark and Oliver Russell, Melaine and Maddie Fields; brother Terry Wilson (Kathy) of Glasgow; sister Anita Renfrow (Robert) of Hartford, step-brother, Todd Smith (Allie) of Baxter, Tennessee; step-sister Patty Herbert (Shane) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; father and mother in law Otley and Pat Richard of Columbia; sister-in-law Mary Ann Judd (Mike) of Columbia. She’s also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, several friends and co-workers of Carhart Industries whom she spent many countless hours with.
Funeral services were held at 1:00pm Friday, May 30, 2025 at Jessie- Wilson funeral home with a burial in the Wilson Family Cemetery. Visitation was from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, May 29, 2025, and after 8:00AM Friday until the time for the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requested donations to Hosparus Health Green River located at 462 North Bypass Rd. Campbellsville, KY 42718.
