Lady Indians drop road matchup to Campbellsville

The Adair County girls’ basketball team fell 61-47 to Campbellsville on Friday in a game that stayed tight until the second half.
Kinzlee Akin led Adair County with 17 points, followed by Reese Bardin with 10.
Campbellsville’s perimeter shooting proved to be the difference, as they hit six 3-pointers to Adair County’s one.
Despite that advantage, Adair County shot more efficiently overall, going 16-of-36 from the field. Campbellsville finished 14-of-41.
The game remained close until the third quarter, when Campbellsville created separation with a nine-point swing. Adair County attempted to rally in the fourth, scoring 15 points, but Campbellsville answered with 20 to seal the win.
Adair County returns home tonight, with junior varsity tipping off at 5 p.m. followed by varsity at 6:30 p.m.
