Lady Indians spike way to No. 1 in region

The Adair County Lady Indians volleyball team is having a successful season with 22-5 overall record in regular season play. With a 10-2 record in regional play and an undefeated 6-0 streak in the district, the Lady Indians have made their name known in the region.
Currently ranked number one in both the district and the region, the team has their sights set on a trip to KHSAA state tournament.
The girls played a quad match in Elizabethtown on Saturday, beating both Graves County and Madison Central. They fell to Elizabethtown 1-2, which is a big target for Adair.
“This season has been so fun and these girls continue to grow and improve. The sky is the limit for this team and we can’t wait to see how the season ends for us,” said Head Coach Michelle Neat.
“Our season started fast and furious and thankfully is starting to slow down so we can work on some things at practice that we hope prepare us for post-season play. There are only two home games left on our schedule, so if you haven’t seen us pay yet, we encourage you to come out,” she said.
The last home games will be on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. and Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the high school gym.
