The Lady Indians volleyball team picked up a district win on the road this past week as the team continues to make progress throughout the season.
Head coach Michelle Neat said the team is beginning to see the results of the work they have put in throughout the season.
“We feel like our team is turning the corner on some things we have been working on all season,” Neat said. “We’re glad to see the fruits of that labor.”
Monday, they played at home against Marion County and came out on top.
Coach Neat said Marion County is a solid team and their momentum from this weekend paid off.
She said they played with a competitive edge from the first serve to the last.
The Lady Indians have another important game this week at home. Neat said the team is excited to play in front of their home crowd again as they expect to continue building momentum.
The Lady Indians have faced a difficult schedule so far this season, but Neat believes the competition will benefit the team later in the year.
“Our schedule has been extremely difficult thus far, but we know it’s going to serve us well come later in the season,” Neat said.
They will play Central Hardin tonight at home.
