Mary F. “Frannie” McKinney, born September 12, 1934, in Breeding, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Ivan Guinn and Chalma York McKinney.
Frannie dedicated 28 years of service as a shift supervisor at Avon Products Manufacturing in Springdale, Ohio. After retiring, she moved to Lexington in 1997, where she became a member of Rosemont Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Frannie was preceded in death by her sisters, Dolores Tommie, Dorothy Fry, Frieda Griffin, Nancy Clay; and a brother, Richard McKinney; her brother, Gerald McKinney and his wife Olive; several nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, who will cherish her memory.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the St. Joseph Hospital third floor staff, Mayfair Manor, The Lafayette, and Bluegrass Hospice for their kindness and care for Frannie during her illness.
Funeral services will be held at noon EST Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon EST Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
In honor of Frannie’s life, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers, Samaritan’s Purse, Rosemont Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
