Mary Wanda Kelsay, 63, of Columbia, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at Signature Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born on December 28, 1962, in Columbia, to the late Arthur Silas and Opal Richard Kelsay. She was also preceded in death by a stillborn son, Charles David Kelsay; and a brother, Junior Kelsay.
Mary will be remembered as someone who loved animals and was a true people person. Her warmth and caring spirit touched the lives of those around her, and she was known for the kindness she shared so naturally with others. She found meaning in faith and was proud to be a member of Freedom Church of God.
Survivors include four siblings, James Randall Kelsay, Frances Cortney (Tommy), Lisa Cortney (Bennie) and Lola Coy (Larry); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Friday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Matthew Dalton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Larry Coy, Aaron Coy, Bennie Cortney, Tommy Cortney, Michael Bragg and Michael Allen.
