Melissa Faye Meers, 46, of Jamestown passed away Sunday, March 16 at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs. She was born November 7, 1978 in Corydon, IN to the late Melvin Odell and Myrtie Faye Pelston Wooten.
Melissa enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her dogs Lilly and AJ.
Survivors include her children Sarah and Heather Meers both of Jamestown, and Brandon Meers of Campbellsville; her companion, Danny Junior Lay of Jamestown; three siblings, Odell Wooten of Columbia, Cynthia Michelle Vannatter of South Carolina, and Tina Thurman of Russell Springs; and several other friends and relatives.
The family chose cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
