Olie Clay Keith, 80, of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Columbia, KY on April 20, 1944, to the late Olie and Mary Alice Shearer Keith. 

Mr. Keith was a member of the House of Prayer Apostolic Church. As a young man Mr. Keith started his career working at Lancaster & Morrison Sawmill from 1965-1966, then 32 years at Fruit of the Loom from 1966-1998, during this time he also drove a bus for C & C Transportation and in 1998 he began working for Adair County Schools as a bus driver before retiring in 2019. He also enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.

Olie had a deep love and passion for a lifetime of worshipping God in church and playing the guitar, touching lives of those around him through songs and melodies.

Survivors include his wife Betty Sue Burris Keith of Columbia, KY; two sons Clay LaDon Keith (Melissa) of Columbia, KY and Gregory Lewis Keith (Melissa) of Campbellsville, KY; five grandchildren Anthony Keith (Clarissa), Johnathon Keith (Katheryn), Dylon Keith (Emily), Cameron Keith, and Hunter Keith; four great grandchildren Benjamin, Henry, Hannah, and Bentley Keith and several other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings Rufus Keith, Hazel Kelley, Hallie Smith, and Helen Eskins.

Funeral services will be 3:30pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday after 12:00pm at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Phil Lowry, Bro. Wes Jolly, and Bro. Billy Beard will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Anthony Keith, Johnathon Keith, Dylon Keith, Cameron Keith, Hunter Keith, Jeremy Burris, and Daniel Burris. Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin, Henry, Hannah, and Bentley Keith.
