Public invited to Art in the Park at Cumberland Falls

CORBIN, Ky. (KT) – Kentucky State Parks invite the public to experience Art in the Park, which will be taking place on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Cumberland Falls State Park.

This family-friendly event celebrates creativity in all its forms, featuring local artists, live performances and cultural experiences. Whether browsing handcrafted artwork, enjoying live entertainment or taking in the natural beauty of Cumberland Falls, guests of all ages will find something to inspire them at Art in the Park. Showcasing paintings and textiles from jewelry to pottery, the event highlights the talent of regional artists.

In partnership with the Kentucky Arts Council, the event will feature an engaging lineup of live performances throughout the day, including:

 

--11 a.m. – Chinese dance performance by Cheryl Pan;

--2 p.m. – Storytelling “Oh Cumberland!” by Bob Martin, Clear Creek Creative; and

 

--3:30- 5 p.m. – Live music by the Acoustic Breakaways, performing favorites ranging from bluegrass to country.

Art in the Park reflects Cumberland Falls State Park’s commitment to supporting artists and expanding access to arts and cultural programming in southeastern Kentucky. Admission to Art in the Park is free with regular park access.
