Robert Olie Larimore, 90, of Greensburg, son of the late Olie Larimore and Annabelle Cook Larimore, was more on August 25, 1934 in Greensburg and departed this life on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Robert has made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He worked as a cattle farmer and bee farmer. Robert served as the past president and vice president of the Green County Farm Bureau and the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board. He was also a member of the Green County Gideon Camp. Robert was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Robert was united in marriage for 70 years to Bessie Louise Smith Larimore on February 6, 1954, who preceded him in death on October 18, 2024.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Byron and Michelle Larimore of Columbia, Gary and Susan Larimore and Barry and Sherree Larimore of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Lauren Melton of Tennessee, Bethany Brown of Elizabethtown, Kimberly Mullins of Campbellsville, Kyle Larimore of Illinois and Brett Larimore of Columba; six great-grandchildren, Anne Claire, Aidan Monroe, Annabelle, Cooper and Caylen; two step-grandchildren, Chase, Cali, Sydney, Griffin and Hadley; five sisters-in-law, Margaret Larimore of Campbellsville, Bernice Ward Despain, Villus Larimore and Adele Larimore of Greensburg; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Larimore; a grandchild, Kristen Larimore and four brothers, Tommy Larimore, Gilbert Larimore, Lawrence Larimore and Billy Larimore.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 13, 2025 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Mark Graham and Bro. Greg Lockard officiating and burial in Beech Grove Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Honor Guard.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Brett Larimore, Kyle Larimore, Aiden Bowles, Jason Brown, Cooper Brown and Luke Melton.
Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons at Beech Grove Baptist Church and Green County Gideon Camp Members.
