Ronald "Ronnie" Bernard, 75, of Russell Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Russell County Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1950 in Russell County, a son of the late Alma "Ovalene" Irvin Bernard and Arlus "Red" Bernard.
Ronnie made his life in the carpentry business and enjoyed building houses and laying block. He had a strong Christian faith, loved Jesus like no other, and was a member of Royville Friendship Church. Ronnie was a huge Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and enjoyed Kentucky Wildcats basketball.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Bernard and three siblings, Patty Kinnett, David Bernard and Allen Bernard.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Redmon (Brian) of Liberty and Amber Taylor of Russell Springs; three sisters, Loretta Cherry and Wanda Conner of Russell Springs and Janie Wall of Columbia; three brothers, Mark Bernard, Jamie Bernard and Andrew Bernard all of Russell Springs; six grandchildren, Tionna, Dylan, Kieran, Lindsay, Mallie and Karissa; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his loving caregiver, Amy Phillips; and his best dog friend, “Ollie”.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Carter Stewart officiating.
