U.S. Sen. Rand Paul will be in Columbia on Monday, Aug. 17. He will visit Morgan Smith Industries beginning at 9 a.m. The public is invited to attend and Paul will make public comments.
“We look forward to welcoming Senator Paul back to Columbia and are excited about his visit to Morgan Smith Industries,” said Mayor Pam Hoots. “The visit allows Senator Paul to see the blossoming business community that continues to grow throughout great Columbia and will continue to grow with projects like the J & L Gate expansion and others.”
Morgan Smith Industries, located at 132 Industrial Park Rd., has been operating in Columbia since 2012. The company produces custom architectural woodwork and furnishings for major commercial and institutional projects across Kentucky and beyond.
Its portfolio includes work at well-known facilities such as Rupp Arena, Commonwealth Stadium, Eastern Kentucky University’s baseball stadium and numerous schools, libraries, hospitals and judicial centers.
Most recently, the company has provided projects for the newly constructed Adair County Middle School.
