Sneed arrested on numerous charges

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Lakeview Drive Tuesday on a report of a man brandishing a machete and making threats. 

Upon arrival, the deputies were approaching the residence when a male jumped from a window. The male ignored deputy commands to stop and fled into a wooded area. Deputies began searching and located the male hiding in a creek in the woods. 

The male was identified as Ryan Sneed, 38 of Columbia. 

Sneed was arrested by Deputy Emily Wall and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. He was charged with terroristic threatening, 3rd degree; fleeing and evading, 3rd degree, possession of marijuana, and possession of controlled substance, 1st degree 1st offense methamphetamine.

Deputy Wall is investigating with assistance from Deputy Joey Keith, Deputy Brandon Hitch, and Deputy Josh Durbin.
