Terry Wayne Petty, 60, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 4:32 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville.
He was born May 24, 1965 in Adair County, to the late Earl McCoy “Toy” and Hazel Earls Petty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dakota Petty and two sisters, Linda Turner and Geraldine Wall.
Terry was a member of Purdy Separate Baptist Church and owner of Petty Logging.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Curry Petty of Russell Springs; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jonathan Bernard of Russell Springs; his brother, Earl Petty of Columbia; two sisters, Bernice Jessie of Edmonton and Brenda Turner of Columbia; five grandchildren, Adalynn Bernard, Levi Bernard, Garrett Petty, Chase Petty, Ashlyn Petty; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 8, 2025 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Bryant and Bro. Avery Russell officiating and burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Russell County.
Casket Bearers were Bobby Jessie, Billy Jessie, Greg Curry, Scotty Curry, Barry Petty and Justin Cox.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
