The Kentucky Ballet Theatre’s holiday performance of “The Nutcracker Ballet” is returning to The Center for Rural Development.

The Center for Rural Development and Lake Cumberland Performing Arts are proud to present this holiday classic on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. at The Center for Rural Development’s Cornelia Dozier Cooper Theatre in Somerset, KY.

“We are excited to have this spectacular ballet as our premier holiday performance,” said Laura Glover, Managing Director of Convention & Facility Services at The Center for Rural Development. “The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition and a special time for families to celebrate the holidays.”

Set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, “The Nutcracker Ballet” follows young Clara on a magical Christmas Eve adventure filled with dancing snowflakes, a battle between toy soldiers and mischievous mice, and a visit to the glittering Land of Sweets ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Tickets are $55.99 + fees for adults and $45.99 + fees for children and students. For the first time, family pricing is available for “The Nutcracker Ballet” performance. The family price is $125 + fees for four tickets. Please use the code word “Family” when ordering family tickets.

To purchase tickets, visit www.centertech.com, call the Box Office at 606-677-6000, or stop by The Center at 2292 South U.S. 27 (at Traffic Light 15) to purchase tickets. Tickets will be available for sale at the Box Office on the night of the performance.
