The Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Russell Road/HWY 80 Saturday night, December 7. After making contact with operator and running his information he was found to have an active warrant out of Barren County and was taken into custody.
After receiving consent to search vehicle, Officers discovered narcotics within the vehicle.
William Dorman, 57, of Columbia in addition to having and active warrant was charged with prescription not in original container, trafficking in a controlled substance drug unspecified, as well as traffic offenses.
Officer Elliot Smith was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Officer Jay Wilson.
