Joe Willis Bowe, 85, of Columbia, died Monday, April 6, 2026 at V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born September 8, 1940, in Adair County and was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Frazier and his mother, Mattie Eva Bowe. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran and had worked in construction.
Survivors include one son, Joe Willis Manderfield of Portland, Oregon; one brother, John Patterson of Canton, Georgia; four sisters, Dessilean Carradine of Columbia, Avis Miller of Aurora, Illinois, Brenda Smith of Columbia, and Alla Dean Walkup of Columbia; special friend, Sheryl Parmley of Burkesville; and three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Burial was in Allen Cemetery in Cumberland County.
