Willodene Hadley Gurnow, 86, of Shepherdsville, formerly of Columbia, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born to the late Martha (Bryant) and Walter Hadley in Columbia.
Willodene previously worked at Town Talk Headwear and provided home childcare for many children. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gurnow; five brothers, Kermit, Winston, Terry, Wendell, and Ronnie Hadley; and one sister, Geraldine Baldwin.
Survivors include two children, Richard Collins (Tammie) and Cindy Weber; grandchildren, Tiffany DeLong (Ryan) and Kristen Schnellenberger (Ryan); four great-grandchildren, Lucas Walker, Henry DeLong, Aniston DeLong, and Tucker Schnellenberger (and baby Norah Schnellenberger on the way); two sisters, Connie Smith (Colby) and Carol Young (Jimmy); three sisters-in-law, Barbara, Judy, and Brenda Hadley; and many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family.
Funeral Services were held Monday, July 27, 2026 at Free Union Separate Baptist Church.
Burial in Free Union Cemetery.
Owen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
