Woodrow Franklin, 76, of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Russell County Hospital.
He was born March 10, 1948, in Adair County, to the late Joe Willie and Sally May Rogers Franklin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Crawhorn Franklin, a daughter, Regina Franklin, two brothers, Jim and William Henry Franklin, and a sister, Viola Jessie.
Woody was a member of Bloomington Chapel Church and a sawmill worker.
Survivors include one son, Timmy Franklin (April) of Columbia; one daughter, Nancy Franklin of Russell Springs; one brother, Davis Franklin (Doris) of Columbia; one sister, Dolly Bragg of Columbia; four grandchildren, Chris Franklin (Erica) of Columbia, Tyler Melson and his Dad, Johnny Melson of Russell Springs, Jaylon McFarland of Columbia, Areinna Soto (Bert) of Columbia; one great-grandchild, Josiah Soto of Columbia; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial was in Columbia Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Barry Brown, Cody Williams, Chris Franklin, Jaylon McFarland, Tyler Melson, and Curtis Keith.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
