ACMS 7th grade gifted and talented students Amber Loy and Kiara Collins received recognition last week during Duke University Talent Identification Program’s state ceremony held at Western Kentucky University.
Loy and Collins were both selected for the program after scoring in the 95th percentile in their grade-leveled standardized test. As part of the program, these academically talented students take above-level college-entrance exams to learn more about their abilities. Duke TIP then hosts annual recognition ceremonies to honor the seventh graders who scored the highest on these ACT or SAT exams.
Congratulations to Collins and Loy for their outstanding achievements.
