GREENSBURG, Ky. – Tension ran high and security ran heavy at the beginning of the trial for David Salyers in Green County Tuesday.
Salyers is charged with complicity to commit murder in the homicide of Adair Countian Wendell “Gleason” Pyles on Sept. 26, 2012.

The day started with pubic defenders assigned to Bobby Rigdon, the man alleged to be behind the trigger in Pyles’ death, submitting a motion to intervene because the prosecution had subpoenaed Rigdon’s wife as a witness and they believed spousal privilege kept that from being possible…
