The Columbia Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on this date near the soccer field at Lindsey Wilson College. The victim while walking, was approached by a man wearing a mask, armed with a gun, and demanding money. The perpetrator fled on foot, and the victim sustained no injuries. Perpetrator is described as a white male, approximately 5’ 10”, 170 lbs. wearing dark clothing, and a black ski mask during the robbery. Investigation is pending, and anyone with information can contact the Columbia Police Department , or any law enforcement agency. The Columbia Police Department was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff’s Department.
