A Georgia man was arrested on felony drug charges after an early morning traffic stop on Labor Day.
At approximately 1 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, Adair County Sheriff K-9 Deputy Josh Durbin and Kentucky State Police Trooper Alan Shirley initiated a traffic stop four miles north of Columbia on KY Hwy. 61 N.
The stop was on a blue 2004 Chevrolet operated by Juan Mulderuado, 33, of Georgia.
During roadside investigation it was suspected that narcotics may be in vehicle and Deputy Durbin deployed his K-9 Nitro, who indicated a positive hit for the odor of narcotics.
As a result, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located in vehicle and Mulderuado was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no operators license.
The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing an investigation.
