The Wellie Paul Grant hearing has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. in Adair Circuit Court. The motion stems from Judge James Boling’s Jan. 11 order finding Grant incompetent to stand trial for the charges of the 2006 murder of Rex Coffey. The original hearing was postponed due to inclement weather. Commonwealth Attorney Gail Williams filed a motion soon after Boling’s ruling asking the judge to reconsider his decision.
