Inis Phillips, 81, of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013a t her residence after an illness.
She was born on April 30, 1931 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Ann Franklin Estes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Phillips; one son, Billy Phillips; and a grandson, Danny Jr. Foster.
She was a member of Russell Heights Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by 13 children, James Lawhorn of Texas, Diane (Donnie) Ford of Columbia, Trisha (Jim) Fisher of Fairdale, David (Terrie) Lawhorn of Summersville, Marsha Rowe of Columbia, Bobby (Treva) Phillips of Columbia, Darrell (Twila) Phillips of Columbia, Jim (Helen) Phillips of Columbia, Terry (Sherry) Phillips of Columbia, Larry Phillips of Russell Springs, Steve Phillips of Columbia, Betty (Richard) Burris of Greensburg and Sherry Phillips of Columbia.
Twenty-nine grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral service was Friday, Jan. 18 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Treece officiating with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Josh Phillips, Daniel Lawhorn, Jeff Ford, Wesley Burris, Joey Bryant, Shawn Phillips, Hayden Phillips and Brandon Phillips.
