On Dec. 9 at 7:25 a.m., the Adair County Sheriff’s office responded 10 miles south of Columbia on KY Hwy. 55 South to a single vehicle accident.
The accident occurred when Patricia Williams of Jamestown was traveling north and failed to negotiate a curve.
Williams lost control, her vehicle went into a skid and then went across the south bound lane over an embankment and overturned.
Williams was treated by Adair County EMS and transported to T.J. Health of Columbia where she was flown by helicopter to the University of Kentucky Hospital for head injuries.
Deputy Brandon Hitch is investigating the collision and was assisted by Sheriff Brockman.
